Mr. James Berry Bryant

James Berry Bryant, 68, of Ovett, Mississippi, passed away Wednesday January 20, 2021 at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. He was born Thursday, March 27, 1952, to Leslie Milton and Ruth Naomi King Bryant in Meridian, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 26, 2021 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Ellisville Funeral Home in Ellisville, Mississippi. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Ellisville Funeral Home with the burial to follow in Stonewall City Cemetery in Clarke County Mississippi. Bro. Johnny Bryant and Bro. Steve Thrash will officiate. Ellisville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. (601) 477-3797.

James worked in education for a number of years. He loved both his school and work families. He was a friend to all who knew him and will be greatly missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leslie Milton and Ruth Naomi King Bryant.

Survivors include his sister, Barbara Bryant (John Robert Steinmetz) of Maricopa, AZ; a host of cousins, neighbors, family, and friends.

Pallbearers will be Patrick King, Jacob Touchstone and Tim Clark.
