Windy was a kind, caring, and giving person who always put the needs of her family before her own. She was a strong woman who faced every challenge in life with courage and dignity. Windy was a source of inspiration to us all and she will be deeply missed by everyone whose lives she touched.

Windy was born in Waynesboro, MS on December 13th 1967, and was welcomed by her parents James N. Temple Jr. and Marilyn C. McKibben. In her childhood, she enjoyed reading, painting, and sewing. This passion for creativity that started at a young age drove her career to becoming a Drafting Engineer. Some of her most memorable accomplishments during her career were drafting the design plans for the Barber Vintage Motorsports Museum in Birmingham, Trent Lott Center at the University of Southern Mississippi, and stadium additions of the Mississippi Braves, Ole Miss Rebels, and Mississippi State Bulldogs.

If you asked Windy herself, she would say her biggest accomplishment in life was raising her son, Anthony Sherwood Herrington Jr. They enjoyed watching Ole Miss football, golfing, and eating sweet treats together.

Windy Herrington is survived by her husband, Anthony "Tony" Sherwood Herrington Sr., son Anthony Sherwood Herrington Jr., her father James N. Temple Jr. (Pearl Temple), mother and father-in-law Roland "Chuck" Herrington and Jennie Herrington, sister Cynthia "Cindy" McAndrews (Nathan McAndrews), brother James "Brian" Temple (Jenny Temple), brother-in-law Joseph "Joie" Miller, and an abundance of extended family and friends. We will all miss her more than words can say.

She is preceded in death by her mother Marilyn C. McKibben, stepfather Billy McKibben, sister-in-law Renee Reynolds, and her sister-in-law Michelle Miller.

The Pallbearers include her nephews Matthew Reynolds, Colby Smith, Joseph Miller, Adam Reynolds, Colby Martin, and a dear friend of Tony's, David Holifield. Honorary pallbearers are Madeline Smith and Kevin Meador.

The family would like to extend our deepest thanks to the Heart of Hospice team and all the wonderful caretakers who have loved and supported us through this time.
