William Sanford (Bill) Messemore, 78, passed away peacefully at his home in Ellisville, MS on Thursday, September 30, 2021. He was born in Elllisville on October 17,1942 to Osbon and Pheobie Messemore and attended school in Ellisville. Services will be held Sunday, October 3, 2021. Visitation will be from 1:00 - 3:00 PM at Ellisville Funeral home with funeral to follow the visitation. Bro. Harold Rowzee will officiate. Ellisville Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Bill was a veteran, having joined the Army in 1959 and served three years. He worked most of his life as a welder and in oil field services. Bill was proceeded in death by his parents Osbon and Pheobie Messemore of Ellisville, a sister, Mary Ruth Dove of Columbus, GA and a brother, Michael Messemore of Ellisville.

He is survived by his wife Loraine Messemore of Ellisville; sons, Billy Messemore (Cindy) of Nashville, TN, Jerry Messemore of Laurel, Douglas Messemore (Doris) of Ellisville and Arlin Rivers of Mobile, AL. Daughters, Rhonda Alonzo (Tony) of Mobile, AL and Crystal Curry (Wayne) of Mobile, AL. Sisters: Clara Sims of Spring City, TN, Patricia Morris of Florence,MS and Anne Gibson (Dale) of Summit, MS. One brother, Tullus Messemore (Beverly) of Ellisville. Fourteen grandchildren and nine great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
