William Austin Busby, 68, of Ellisville, MS, passed away peacefully at his residence on Friday, June 6, 2025. Born on November 24, 1956, in Fayetteville, North Carolina, William was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 12 years, Terri Sullivan Busby. William was a proud father to his son, Lamar Daley (Lindsay), and daughters, Becky Zumwalt (Chris), Barbara Barnard (Joe), Shelia Craft (Perry), Debbie Vanderslice (Roger), and Barbara Daley. He was cherished by his grandchildren, Jason Vanderslice (Alison), Josh Vanderslice, Ashley Prout, Preston Sullivan (Lauren), Nikki Russell (Matthew), Wesley Sullivan, Olivia Livingston (Jacob), Bradley Zumwalt, Rachel Zumwalt, Layla Daley, Liam Daley, and Lily Daley, as well as his great-grandchildren, Austin Coleman, Chase Coleman, Hunter Coleman, Zoe Vanderslice, Kailee Craft, Caden Towns, Jocee Vanderslice, Jonah Vanderslice, Carson Vanderslice, Harper Russell, Owen Livingston, and Evan Livingston.

William was preceded in death by his parents, Rufus L. Busby and Mildred Pool Busby, his late wife Glenice "Neacy" Busby, his grandchild, Stephanie Boleware Towns, and his sister, Linda Busby Clark.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 9, 2025, with visitation from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at Ellisville Funeral Home, located at 1204 B Ave, Ellisville, Mississippi. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM at the same location, with burial at New Hope Baptist Church in Ellisville, Mississippi. Bro. Mark Anderson will officiate the services.
