Walter "Red" Drew Jr. 79, of Ellisville, Mississippi, died Thursday at his residence in Ellisville, Mississippi. He was born Monday, November 10, 1941 in Laurel, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 25, 2021 from 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM at the Ellisville Funeral Home in Ellisville, Mississippi. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, September 25, 2021 at 1:00 PM at Ellisville Funeral Home and the burial will follow in Mount Moriah Baptist Church Cemetery. Bro. Johnny Bryant will officiate. Red retired from Lee & Lee Services after working in the oilfield for over 20 years. He enjoyed spending time welding and working on things in his shop, and spending time with his loving wife of 58 years and their kids, grandkids and great grandkids. He loved his family dearly, as they loved him, and will miss him greatly.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Mary Drew, granddaughter, Courtney Holifield, three brothers, James Drew, William Drew, Ray Drew, and three sisters, Mary Helen Newell, Doris Newell, Pauline Brady.

Survivors include his wife Betty Drew, son, Robert Drew, two daughters, Betty (Michael) Holifield, Margaret (Jason) Lack, Grandchildren, Brandy (Jesse) Dunston, Jennifer (Tyler) Lowe, Brittney (Steven) Thorne, Austin Holifield, Tyler Lack, Hunter Lack, Three great grandchildren, Ian Lowe, Everleigh Lowe, Luna Thorne and a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Michael Holifield, Jason Lack, Tyler Lowe, Austin Holifield, Tyler Lack, and Hunter Lack.

Family would like to thank Comfort Care Hospice Staff for their loving care especially Cynthia, Jessica, Ashley, Taylor and Shan.
