Obituary

Tommy Cade Rogers of Laurel, Mississippi, passed away peacefully at his home on September 17, 2025. Born on March 1, 1943, he was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and brother. He is survived by his devoted wife of 61 years, Brenda Rice Rogers, and their two daughters Carrie Burks and her husband Scott and Melissa Mitchell and her husband Britt. He was a proud "Pops" to Jonathan Burks and his wife Morgan, Andrew Burks and his wife Peyton, Ann Elizabeth Bryan and her husband Christian, Caroline Harrington, Brittany Martin and her husband Clark, John Ross Mitchell and great grandson Conner Cade Burks. He is also survived by his sister Diane Parish, sister-in-law Mary Ann Easterling, sister-in-law Deborah Warren, and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents Cade Bethea Rogers and Christine Abercrombie Rogers, his brother Bruce Rogers, and brother- in-law Gerald Parish.

Tommy spent much of his life as owner of Rogers Auto Parts, where he is remembered for his generosity and commitment to helping others. He was a member of First Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. He enjoyed spending time at his farm and cheering his Ole Miss Rebels, but above all, he loved taking care of and spending time with his family.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, September 20, at 11:00 at Hickory Grove Cemetery in Laurel. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to First Baptist Church. Arrangements are being handled by Ellisville Funeral Home.
