Thurman Riley Hitson, 72 of Laurel, MS passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family Tuesday, June 28, 2022 at South Central Regional Medical Center.

Thurman was born on January 11, 1950 to Randolph and Carrie Lee Hitson. He worked in the oilfield for a majority of his life and was the true definition of an oilfield hand.

Mr. Hitson was survived by his two sons, Kable (Christy) Hitson and Kacey Hitson. His sister Eva Lee (Jerry) Langley. His beautiful grandkids, Konner Hitson, Ashlyn Hitson, Hannah Lee, Kamron Hitson, Kullan Hitson, and Drake Pierce. Several nieces Bobbie, Eva Rai, Rhonda Gail, Rosie, and Jackie.

He was preceded in death by his parents Randolph and Carrie Lee Hitson, a sister Helen Balkom and a brother Thomas Franklin Hitson.

The family will hold a graveside service on Thursday June 30,2022 at 10:00 am at Clark Cemetery in Laurel, MS.
