Terry Lehman Flanigan, 71, of Laurel, MS, passed away on Monday, December 1, 2025, at South Central Regional Medical Center in Laurel, MS. Born on December 12, 1953, in Jonesboro, Arkansas, Terry was a beloved husband, father, brother, and grandfather.

Terry spent his life surrounded by family and friends in Myrick community. He was a lifelong farmer and loved staying at his barn caring for his farm animals, farming and building woodworks with his sawmill. Terry worked in construction throughout the US.

He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Susan Taylor Flanigan; his son, Jody Schwan and wife Debra; his daughters, Heather Flanigan and Kimberly Schwan (Josh Welborn); his brother, Mike Flanigan and wife Faye; and his sister, Debbie Flanigan Owens. Terry was also a cherished grandfather to Glen Cooper and wife Brittany, Jacob Schwan and wife Jessica, Kelsey Schwan, Laken Husers and husband Austin, Leah Cooper, Cade Gathright, Tieraney Gathright, Bayla Schwan, and Dallon Welborn, as well as a great-grandfather to a host of great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, Lehman Flanigan; his mother, JoAnn Brown Flanigan; his brother, Charles Flanigan; and his sister, Sheila Flanigan, nephew, Michael Flanigan.

Visitation will be held on Friday, December 5, 2025, from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Ellisville Funeral Home, located at 1204 B Ave, Ellisville, Mississippi. Memorial service will follow at the same location. Arrangements are under the care of Ellisville Funeral Home.
