Tami always made sure to put everyone before herself. Her smile and laughter could brighten any room. Her family was her pride and joy. She also took great pride in her job as a respiratory therapist for thirty years at both SCRMC and Wayne General.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Doris Marie Guthrie, her sister; Virginia Lynn Guthrie, her niece, April Shearer, and her grandparents, Coleman and Dessie Mae Wilson.
Survivors include her husband of forty years, Matt Phillips, her father, Clifford Guthrie, her daughters, Kayla Boler (Buford), Debe Lee (Randy), her son, Justin Phillips (Addison), her brothers Ricky Guthrie (Angela) and Jimmy Guthrie (Nena) as well as ten grandkids.
The family would like to thank Southern Care Hospice for keeping Tami comfortable in her last days. They would also like to thank Tammy Barnhart, Tami's lifelong friend for being there for her during the entire journey.
