Obituary

Stephen Krevi, 89, of Ellisville, MS, passed away peacefully at Jones County Rest Home on Tuesday, May 6, 2025. Born on August 13, 1935, in Scranton, PA.

He is survived by his three sons, Stephen Krevi (Gayle), Norman Krevi (Debbie), and Drew Krevi (Tracey); two daughters, Tammi Krevi McArthur and Molly Krevi Shields (Oliver); one sister, Alice Scanlon; one brother, Edward Krevey; 11 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his father, Anthony Krevey; mother, Malinka 'Molly' Cherneski Krevey; daughter, Emily Krevi; grandsons, Jake McArthur and Kevin Krevi; as well as seven sisters and four brothers.

Steve will be remembered as a wonderful father, grandfather, brother, and a witness for Jesus Christ.  He always found avenues to minister to his community through practical help, friendship, and prayer; dedicating his time with great joy and without shame of the Gospel.  Steve lived an authentic and meaningful life, and his wisdom, kindness and positivity will leave a huge void that cannot be filled.  However, his loved ones know without a shadow of doubt that he is in the perfect presence of his Savior.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 10, 2025, at 11:00 am at Oak Bowery Cemetery in Ellisville, MS, with Brother Glenn Shoemake officiating. The family expresses their gratitude for the excellent care provided by the staff at Jones County Rest Home, who became friends and prayer warriors.

Pallbearers will be Emmit Lewis, Rick Blackwell, Chuck Blackwell, Brian Allen, Oliver Shields, and Larry Johnston.

Honorary pallbearers will be Tommy Ruffin.
