Skosh Morris Earle Elkins, 69, of Ellisville, MS, passed away on Monday, September 15, 2025, at the Comfort Care Nursing Center in Laurel, Mississippi. Born on February 15, 1956, in Midland, Texas, Skosh was a beloved father, brother, and grandfather.

Skosh or also known as Smokin Skosh or SkoskMan while he was a DJ for SL100, B95 morning show and Rock104 night show. He enjoyed his time at these radio stations until he was unable to due to Multiple Sclerosis.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Donna Elkins, his father, Earle P. Elkins, and his mother, Carolyn Sue Jones Elkins.

He is survived by his son, Joshua Elkins and partner Jorge, his daughter, Kayla Elkins and husband Jason Carter, his brother, Charles Elkins and wife Olga, and his sister, Robin Worthey of Ellisville, MS. Skosh was also a proud grandfather to Michael Mendelson, Emma Carter, Landry Carter, and Kota Carter, and a cherished uncle to his nephew, Kyle Worthey, and niece, Rachel Elkins.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 23, 2025 from 2:00PM until 3:00PM at First Baptist Church of Laurel in 607 W. 5th St., Laurel, Mississippi. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, September 23, 2025 at 3:00PM at First Baptist Church of Laurel, Mississippi. Ellisville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. 601-477-3797.
