Sidney Ellis Hester, 85, of Ellisville, Mississippi, passed away, Monday, July 12, 2021 at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. He was born Tuesday, March 24, 1936 in Stringer, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 15, 2021 from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM at the Ellisville Funeral Home in Ellisville, Mississippi. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, July 15, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Ellisville Funeral Home with the burial to follow in Union Line Cemetery. Bro. Ken Johnson will officiate. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sidney and Leona Hester, his daughter, Tammye Hitt, his brothers, Dennis Hester, James D. Hester and one sister, Deborah Moss.

Survivors include his wife, Ouida Hester, his children, Delayne Hester (Tonya), Keith Hester (Terry), Brante Hester (Leslie), Brande Medved (Martin), his step-children, Kim Evans (Aaron), Brian Floyd (Emma), his grandchildren, Seth Hester (Malorie), Taylor Hester, Madelyn Hester, Mandy Dillard (Grant), Philip Medved, Adrian Medved, Emelia Medved, his step grandchildren, Lauren Burch, Alexis Evans, his great-grandchildren, Wes Hester, Lydia Hester, one sister, Mary Thompson, as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Jimmy Gardner, Ricky Allen, Donovan Peacock, Aaron Evans, Brian Floyd, and Joel Fowler.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry Wade, Wayne Yates, Darren Braddock, and Tommy Magee.
