Shirley Ann Walters, 80, of Ellisville, MS, passed away on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, at Merit Health Wesley in Hattiesburg, MS. Born on Monday, February 5, 1945, in Laurel, Mississippi, Shirley was a beloved member of her community.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Arliss Walters, Sr., and her sons, Jason Arliss Walters and John Arliss Walters, Jr.

Shirley is survived by her daughter, Jacqueline Arliss Bates of Ellisville, MS; her brother, Wayne Henderson; her sisters, Janice Veit (Ricky) and Betty Hengst (Earl); and her grandchildren, Zachary Devall Baker, Heather Anne Walters (Tavis), Lindsey Carol Gordon (Ryan), Johnathan Walters, Montana Rose Bates, and Alexis Gabrielle Walters. She also leaves behind great-grandchildren Aliyah Ranleigh McDonald, Jasmine Walters, Ashlyn Breeze Donaldson, Emma Gordon, Jude Gordon, Alexander Counts, Benjamin Counts, Roslyn Counts, Alora Counts, Van Walters, and Raylen Lovett, as well as a great-great-grandchild, Madilyn Ivy Hendry, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 12, 2025, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Ellisville Funeral Home, located at 1204 B Ave, Ellisville, Mississippi. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at 10:00 AM at the same location, with burial to follow in Walters Cemetery in Ellisville, MS. Bro. Rayborn Huff will officiate the services.
