Shelia Sue Walters, 74, of Ovett, MS passed away Thursday, June 8, 2023 at her residence in Ovett, MS. She was born Sunday, September 5, 1948 in Laurel, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 11, 2023 from 1:30 PM until 3:00 PM at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church on 1164 Old Highway 15, Ellisville, MS. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 PM. The burial will take place in Lancaster Cemetery in Ovett, MS.  Dr. Aaron Parker and Bro. Ray Matthews will officiate. Ellisville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. 601-477-3797

Shelia was an avid gardener and loved beautiful plants. She had a talent for making stunning flower arrangements. Shelia was also a Christian lady who loved the Lord and loved her family. She was always there to cheer on and support her grandkids throughout their lives. She was a faithful member of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church. Shelia was greatly loved and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clyatt and Mary Edwina Shows.

Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Michael Walters; son, Chris Walters (Dawn); daughter, Charlotte Phillips (Lorne); brother, Danny Shows (Marilyn); sisters, Sharon Lancaster (Jesse), Sherry Shows (Tommy) and Sandra Walters (Phil); grandson, Calvin Walters; granddaughters, Lizzie Freeman (Zach), Emily Hamil, Dalyn Reynolds (Daegan), Lola Phillips and Kinzie Walters; great-grandsons, Oliver May and Clark Freeman as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Lorne Phillips, Daegan Reynolds, Chris Walters, Calvin Walters, Cody Pitts, and Danny Shows.
