Samuel Kenneth Godwin, SR, 75, of Ellisville, MS, passed away on Wednesday, November 27, 2024, at the Jones County Rest Home in Ellisville, MS. Born on October 7, 1949, in Jones County, Mississippi, Samuel lived a life full of love and family.

He is survived by his son, Samuel Godwin, Jr.; daughter, Melanie Key and her husband Anthony; his mother, Grace Jefcoat Holifield; and his brothers, Carl Godwin and Mike Godwin with his wife Cathy. Samuel was also blessed with a host of grandchildren who will cherish his memory.

Samuel was preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Stephanie Dickerson; his father, James C. Godwin; his brother, Charlie Godwin; and his sister, Stella Godwin.

Graveside services will be held on Monday, December 02, 2024, at 10:00 AM at Big Creek Cemetery in Soso, Mississippi, with burial to follow. Arrangements are being handled by Ellisville Funeral Home.
