Roy A Pruitt, 70, passed away on Monday, October 11th, 2021 at his home in Ellisville, Mississippi. He was born November 23rd, 1950 in Laurel Mississippi.

Roy was always our Knight in Shining Overalls. He had the largest, kindest and most generous heart, always willing to help anyone in need. He constantly wore a mischievous grin and always had a funny story to tell. He adored his wife and loved his family dearly. His grandson Gavin was known as his Gavinator and was his absolute joy. To know Roy was to love him and he touched every life profoundly. He loved the Lord and shared his faith freely. As we say, he was a good man. He was truly one of a kind and will be greatly missed by all who loved him.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 13, 2021, from 5:00 PM until 7:30PM at Ellisville Funeral Home in Ellisville, Mississippi. Funeral Services will be held after visitation at 7:30pm. Brother James Walker will officiate with cremation to follow. A celebration of life will occur at a later date.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Margaret Pruitt, sister Nellie Pruitt, and brother Wayne Pruitt.

He is survived by wife and best friend of 26 years Sandra Pruitt, his daughters Sandy Pruitt, Amanda Nelson, Trista Pruitt (Jeremy), Mariah Edge, and Skylar Goff, grandchildren Gavin Pruitt, Alyss Edge and Kole Edge, sisters Martha Jane Meadows, Ethel Jones, Demple Lovett, and Meloney DeLeo, brothers Edward C Pruitt, Roger Pruitt, Howard Pruitt, Ross Pruitt, Jonathan Pruitt, and Preston Pruitt plus a host of cousins, nieces and nephews.

Honorary pallbearers are Cleo Pruitt, Roger Pruitt, Howard Pruitt, Ross Pruitt, Jonathan Pruitt, Preston Pruitt, Scotty Pruitt, Charlie Jones, Antonio Valesquez ,Mike Trudeau and Chris Pruitt.
