Rickey Wayne "Hound Dog" Ellzey, 61 of Soso, MS passed away Monday, April 8, 2024, at his residence in Soso, MS. He was born Tuesday, February 12, 1963, in San Antonio, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jim Ellzey; mother, Charlotte Garner Ellzey; aunt, Darlene Stewart; uncles, Paul Stewart, J.C. Ellzey, Ted Ellzey, Sam Ellzey; cousin, Tracy "Puddin" Ellzey.

Rickey loved his dogs, Budweiser and Mollie, and his goats. He loved making a loop and being on Neighborhood Watch Patrol.

Survivors include his sister, Cherie Ellzey Cloud, aunts, Jean Finney (Charles), Gail Ellzey, Jeanette Ellzey, Shelia Ellzey; cousins, Sonny Ellzey, (Gwen), Shannon Faler, Fred Smith (Rhonda), Donny Smith, Terry Smith, Jeannie Smith, Fred Ellzey (Brandy), Lindin Ellzey (Jessica), Sammy Ellzey, Tanya Stewart, Tara Stewart, Tammy Senoir (Harold), Tasha Ainsworth (Michael); friend, Ronnie Parker.
