Richard Dale Lewis, 64, of Ovett, MS passed away Thursday, May 9, 2024 in Jackson, Mississippi. He was born Saturday, July 18, 1959 in Jackson, Mississippi.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, May 14, 2024 at Bible Baptist Church of Ovett, MS, at 2:00 PM. Bro. Kaleb Lee will officiate. Ellisville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. 601-477-3797

Richard loved the outdoors and lived many happy years at his home in Evanston, Wyoming. He was a retired state trooper and an avid Star Wars Fan. Richard loved his family and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his father, John Dale Lewis; mother, Patricia Morgan Lewis.

Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Kathy Smith Lewis; son, Ben Lewis; daughter, Morgan Lewis; brother, John Lewis (Paula); sisters, Alesha Davis (Tommy), Michelle Lewis and Shannon Lewis; granddaughter, Rowan Lewis.
