Prentiss Simpson Sr., 79 of Hattiesburg, MS passed away Monday, September 19, 2022 at Forest General Hospital in Hattiesburg, MS. He was born Friday, March 19, 1943 in Stringer, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 23, 2022 from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Ellisville Funeral Home on 1204 B. Ave, Ellisville, MS. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM. The burial will take place at Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Laurel, Mississippi. Bro. Dejuan Walley will officiate. Ellisville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. 601-477-3797

He was preceded in death by his father, Oscar Simpson; his mother, Eula Williams Simpson;  brothers, Charles Simpson and Winford Simpson and his sister, Gladys Walley.

Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Linda Mozingo Simpson; sons, Prentiss Simpson, Jr. and Joey Wilson; daughters, Angie Blue, Ellie Wilson and Sandra Street; grandson, Dalton Blue; granddaughter, Ashley Cochran; great grandsons, Conner Cochran, Cooper Cochran and Colin Cochran; great granddaughter, Kambree Blue as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Earl Pearson, Coyleton Cochran, Dalton Blue, Joey Wilson, Prentiss Simpson Jr., Benny Parker, and Michael Parker.
