Peggy Sue Green, 79, of Laurel, MS, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 26, 2025, at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, MS. Born on October 10, 1946, in Laurel, Peggy lived a full and cherished life, leaving behind a legacy of hard work, creativity, and love.

Peggy was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Alongside her late husband, George, she ran a successful machine shop business in Houston, TX, for over two decades. She was a master of hand-crafted decor, gifts and trinkets, known for her one-of-a-kind creations that she so often shared with family and friends.

She is survived by her daughter, Tracy Purvis; son-in law, Bryant McDonald; She was a proud grandmother to Cody McDonald (LeeAnne), Randy McDonald (Kayla), Clayton Purvis (Brittany), and Daylee Stanley; Stacie Boyens, Mary Martinez (Fernando), and Steven Perrett (Jacque); and a great-grandmother to 12 great-grandchildren, all of whom brought joy to her life.

Peggy was preceded in death by her beloved husband, George Ray Green and daughter, Sharon McDonald; parents, Sleepy Landrum and Irma Rae Jefcoat; and daughter, Gwendolyn Green.

Visitation will be held on Monday, December 29, 2025, from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Ellisville Funeral Home, located at 1204 B Ave, Ellisville, Mississippi. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM at the same location. Burial will take place at Tucker Cemetery in Ellisville, MS.

Pallbearers will be Cody McDonald, Randy McDonald, and Clayton Purvis.
