Miles Velton Fountain, 85, of Ellisville, MS, passed away on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at the Greene County Health & Rehab in Leakesville, Mississippi. Born on July 25, 1940, in Jones County, Mississippi, Miles lived a full life surrounded by family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Jewel Rose Fountain, his parents, Henry Miles Fountain and Ella Oreath Moore Fountain, and his sister Vivian Fountain.

Miles is survived by his sons, Marvin Fountain of Ellisville, MS, Michael Fountain and his wife Vongi, and Dale Fountain; his daughter, Doris Holder and her husband Ricky; his brothers, Glenn Fountain and his wife Sarah, and James Fountain; his sisters, Janet Sims, Flora Jefcoat, Joan Robertson and her husband Dave, and Becky Chancellor and her husband David. He also leaves behind a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 8, 2026, from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM at Ellisville Funeral Home, located at 1204 B Ave, Ellisville, Mississippi. Funeral services will follow at 12:00 PM at the same location, with Bro. Mark Anderson officiating. Burial will take place at Ellisville City Cemetery in Ellisville, Mississippi. Pallbearers will include Ricky Holder, Micky Holder, Anthony Holder, and Dalton Fountain.
