Maxey Jean Wood, 89 of Ellisville, MS passed away Sunday, December 8, 2024, at her residence in Ellisville, MS. She was born Wednesday, August 21, 1935, in Jones County, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 12, 2024, from 9:30AM until 11:00AM at Ellisville Funeral Home in 1204 B Ave, Ellisville, Mississippi. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 12, 2024, at 11:00AM at Ellisville Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Ellisville City Cemetery in Ellisville, Mississippi. Bro. She was preceded in death by her parents; Barna Stennett and Wilma Beech Stennett; brother, Glenn Stennett; sisters, Floyce Evans (Joe), Pauline Dobson (Clifton), Helen Anderson (Nemox) and Deedee Koehler.

Survivors include her husband of 71 years, John "Pete" R Wood; daughters, Sherre` Cook (Steve) and Wanda Guy (Duncan); brother, Jerry Stennett (Patti); grandson, Jaron Guy; granddaughter, Kristin Shehan (Wesley); great grandchildren, Judah Shehan and Grace Shehan; brother-in-law, Fenton Koehler.

Pallbearers will be Steve Cook, Duncan Guy, Jaron Guy, Wesley Shehan, Jobie Evans, Webb Evans, and Ryan Evans.
