Max Thomas Easterling, 88 of Ellisville, MS passed away Friday, July 26, 2024, at the Comfort Care Nursing Home in Laurel, MS. He was born Saturday, February 1, 1936, to Charlie and Mary Delphine Easterling in Moselle, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Monday, July 29, 2024, from 12:00PM until 2:00PM at Ellisville Funeral Home in 1204 B Ave, Ellisville, Mississippi. Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 29, 2024, at 2:00PM at Ellisville Funeral Home with burial to follow at Creel Cemetery in Ovett, Mississippi. Max served in the US Navy before marrying Bernice Creel on June 21, 1958. They were married for 57 years and had 4-children, 8-grandchildren, 22-great-grandchildren, and 2-great-great grandchildren together. He worked as a salesman for many years and retired from working at Howard Industries.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Bernice Creel Easterling; son, Charlie Phillip Easterling; father, Charlie Easterling; mother, Mary Delphine Gandy Easterling; brothers, Bill Carney and Frank Easterling; sister, Ruby (Hill) Stevens; grandson, Chance Martin Ellis.

Survivors include his son, Paul Easterling (Juanita) of Ellisville, MS; daughters, Gail Moore of Ellisville, MS and Gaye Ellis of Petal, MS; grandchildren, Christy Pitts, Jason Moore, Sumer White, Nikki Turner, Courtney Ellis, Amanda Brownlee, Mallory Ellis; 22-great grandchildren, 2-great-great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Jason Moore, Jacob Knotts, Landon Taylor, Keith Hill, Keenan Stevens, and Mark Graham.
