Mary Catherine Smith, 75, of Laurel, Mississippi, died Thursday, July 23, 2020 at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. She was born Thursday, November 23, 1944 in Waynesboro, Mississippi.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 26, 2020 from 12:00 PM until 1:00 PM at the Ellisville Funeral Home in Ellisville, Mississippi. Funeral Services will be held Sunday, July 26, 2020 at 1:00 PM at Ellisville Funeral Home and burial will follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Chicora, MS. Bro. Kenny Morris will officiate. Ellisville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. (601) 477-3797
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Smith, parents, Vernon and Josephine Rigney, brothers, Maxwell Rigney, Mack Rigney, Ellis "Pug" Rigney, Ray Rigney, sister, Betty Jo Simmons, son Lloyd "Kevy" Smith
Survivors include her daughters, Mona Henderson (Leon), Patrice Stanard, Lori High (Alan), Lisa Smith-Zehner, and Dinah Sheryl Simmons,13 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren, brother, Kavin Rigney (Judy), sister, Carolyn Sanderson (Glenn) and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Family.
