Mary Nelson, 87, of Ellisville, Mississippi, died Thursday, May 6, 2021 at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. She was born Wednesday, August 30, 1933 in Checotah, Oklahoma.

Visitation will be held on Monday, May 10, 2021 from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at the Ellisville Funeral Home in Ellisville, Mississippi. Funeral Services will be held Monday, May 10, 2021 at 1:00 PM at Ellisville Funeral Home and the burial will follow in Ellisville City Cemetery. Ellisville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Nelson, her son, Tommy Ray Nelson, her daughter-in-law, Deborah Nelson, her grandson, Mark Allen Nelson and her parents, Virgil "Bud" Patterson and Beatrice Patterson.

Survivors include her son, James Nelson (Charlotte), her sisters, Bonnie Lee Bivins and Judy Ann Nixon and her brother, Larry Patterson. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, twenty-two great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

Pallbearers will be her family and friends.
