Obituary

Mary James Miller, 83, of Ellisville, Mississippi, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, in Biloxi, Mississippi. She was born on July 2, 1943, in Lake Como, Mississippi.

Mrs. Miller was preceded in death by her husband, Henry B. Miller; her son, Kenneth Andrew “Andy” Miller; and her parents, James and Uldeen Lightsey.

She is survived by her loving family, including her sons Henry A. “Tony” Miller (wife, Deena) and James R. “Jamie” Miller (wife, Danielle); daughter-in-law Lisa Miller, widow of her late son Andy Miller; her grandchildren Nicholas Miller (wife, Kylie), Joseph Miller (wife, Morgan), James Kanton Miller (wife, Connie), Mary Robin Miller, Samuel Miller, Charity Miller, Abigail Miller; her great-grandchildren Kai and Mandolyn Miller; her sisters Beulah Raynor, Lynn Johnson (husband, Billy Earl), Cindy Blackledge, and Elaine Lee (husband, Jamie); her brother Russell Lightsey (wife, Laceada); and a host of nieces, nephews, and other extended family.

Mary loved Jesus and faith guided her throughout her life. She loved her family deeply and cherished every moment spent with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and friends. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren held an especially cherished place in her heart, and she took great joy in watching them grow, delighting in every visit, every milestone, and every memory made together. She will be remembered for the warmth, love, and faith she shared with everyone around her.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 18, 2026, at Ellisville Funeral Home, located at 1204 B Ave, Ellisville, Mississippi, from 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 PM at the same location, with burial to follow at Sand Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care of Ellisville Funeral Home.
