Mary Lang, 73, of Petal, Mississippi, passed away, Wednesday, August 18, 2021 at Driftwood Nursing Home in Gulfport, Mississippi. She was born Saturday, January 31, 1948 in Petal, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Monday, August 23, 2021 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the Ellisville Funeral Home in Ellisville, Mississippi. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Ellisville Funeral Home with burial will follow in Bullock Cemetery in Sanford MS. Bro. John Smith will officiate. She was preceded in death by her parents, Millard and Jeanette Thornton, her brother, H.B. Thornton and her sister Brenda Joyce Rayburn.

Survivors include her daughters, Amanda Bond (Davis) and Tammy Shields, her grandson, Joseph Shields, her granddaughters, Leann Shields, Hannah Shields, Alison Brooks (Cole), Erica Williams, her great-grandsons, Bently Shields, C.J. Brooks and Caden Brooks and her great granddaughter, Gracelyn Shields.

Pallbearers will be Wesley Dye, Michael Dye, TJ Thornton and Gene Thornton.
