Obituary

Lola Mae Landrum, 91, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 26, 2025, at Marion General Hospital in Columbia, Mississippi. Born on May 8, 1934, in Wayne County, Mississippi, she lived a life full of love to her family and community.

Mrs. Landrum was a cherished member of East Columbia Baptist Church, where she actively participated in all senior activities. She was also a proud member of the Order of the Eastern Star. After a long and fulfilling career, she retired as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), leaving behind a legacy of care and compassion.

Known for her culinary skills, Lola was famous for her biscuits, tomato gravy, canned figs, and homemade Mayhaw jelly. Her green thumb was evident in her beautiful garden, and she was an avid crocheter, creating many beautiful Afghans for her loved ones. She will be fondly remembered as a lady who 'Never Met a Stranger.'

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Shane W. Landrum, her parents Monroe and Colie Ward Phillips, brothers, Hazelroe Phillips, Ozell Phillips, Herman Phillips, James B. Phillips, Tommy Phillips and Rudolph Phillips; sisters, Estelle Rutland, Verneva Williamson, Ester Purvis, Edna Walters, Delois Danzey and Lucille Bush; sister-in-law, Shirley Phillips. She is survived by her daughters, Margaret Alice Landrum Born (Larry), Elizabeth Ann Landrum Beech (Jimmy), Mary Jane Landrum Zugg (Ricky), and Shannon Lee Landrum; her grandchildren, Webb Evans (Wendy), Shonna Gavin, Brad Beech (Missy), Wesley Keyes (Jennifer), Amber Garner (James), and Kimberly Wohlscheid (Brent); her brother, Frank 'Bo' Phillips; 11 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-granddaughters, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Monday, June 30, 2025, from 12:30 PM until 2:00 PM at Ellisville Funeral Home, located at 1204 B Ave, Ellisville, Mississippi. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM at the same location, with burial at Good Hope Baptist Church Cemetery in Ovett, MS. Bro. Eddie Roberson nephew of Mrs. Lola will officiate the services.

Pallbearers will be Family and Friends.
