Linda Joyce Hancock, 71, of Ellisville, Mississippi, passed away Monday, October 15, 2018, at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. She was born Monday, June 30, 1947 in Laurel, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Ellisville Funeral Home in Ellisville, Mississippi. Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 18, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Ellisville Funeral Home with burial to follow in Hickory Grove Cemetery. Bro. Duane Parker will officiate. Linda was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was loved by all who knew her. She was a member of Laurel First Church of God. Linda retired from the Jones County School District administrative office in 2013 after more than 25 years of service. She will be sorely missed by all who loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph Smith and Jeanette Pearl Jones Smith.

Survivors include her husband, Charles Cecil Hancock Jr., Ellisville, MS; son, Wesley Hancock (Serena), Ellisville, MS; daughter, Erica Johnson (Corey), Ellisville, MS; sister, Judy Mann (Ted), Ellisville, MS; grandchildren, M'Lee Couch, Riley Couch, Savannah Couch, Conner Johnson, Randley Johnson, Ethan Hancock and Brayden Hancock.
Pallbearers will be Corey Johnson, Ted Mann, Brent Broadway, Destin Parker, Douglas Ainsworth, and Larry Hancock.
