Lewis E. Guthrie, aged 85, of Seminary, MS, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 13, 2026, at his residence. Born on April 21, 1940, in Alabama, Lewis was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was preceded in death by his parents, Miles and Mattie Lou Collier, and his great-grandchild, Sawyer Lewis.

He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Peggy Guthrie, and his sons, Edward Guthrie (Mary) and Danny Guthrie (Edith). Lewis was a proud grandfather to Kayla Guthrie, Katelyn Weber (Dakota), Miles Guthrie, Maranda Guthrie, Chandler Guthrie, Christopher Guthrie, Alexandra Castillo, and Roger Castillo. He was also blessed with great-grandchildren Jaidyn Butler, Carter Cooley, Carson Cooley, Jase Cooley, Cassie Weber, Zack Weber, K. B. Weber, Nathaly, Milan, Noah, Jason Pitti, Jacob, Florence Gonzales and Jaydan. His sister, Linda Thomas, along with a host of nieces and nephews, also mourn his passing.

A memorial service will be held at a later date, with arrangements under the care of Ellisville Funeral Home.
