Katherine Roberts, aged 89, of Meridian, MS, passed away on Sunday, October 6, 2024, at Brookdale Assisted Living in Hattiesburg, MS. Born on April 2, 1935, in Greene County, Mississippi, Katherine was a devoted mother and grandmother who cherished her family and her church. She had a passion for gardening and was known for her ability to grow anything anywhere.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Eugene Roberts; her son, Kenneth Lavon Roberts; her daughter, Pamela Kay Roberts Johnson; her father, Lancy Neer McLain; her mother, Icey McLain; and her sisters, Ella Roberta Smith and Dorothy Jean McLemore.

She is survived by her granddaughter, Stacy Sherman (Joshua), her great-grandchildren, Michael Paul Sherman and Lucas Lane Sherman, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 10, 2024, from 11:30 AM until 1:00 PM at The Church of Jesus Christ Latter-Day Saints in Richton, MS. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 PM at the same location, with burial in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Joshua Sherman, Michael Sherman, Joseph Wheeler, Landon Wheeler, Andrew Wheeler, and Brad Reynolds. Honorary pallbearers will be Michael Herrod, Lucas Sherman, and Jeremy Wheeler.
