June Dale Jones, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 13, 2025 at South Central Regional Medical Center in Laurel, MS at the young age of 93. She was born March 4, 1932, in Newton, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 17, 2025, from 10:30 AM until 12:00 PM at Salem Heights Baptist Church in Laurel, Mississippi. Funeral services to follow. Burial in Salem Heights Baptist Church Cemetery in Laurel, Mississippi. Bro. Brent Benson will officiate. Ellisville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. 601-477-3797.

June was a devout and Godly woman who loved her home church Salem Heights Baptist Church. She was in the choir and participating in the celebration programs was always special to her. For many decades she was a dedicated Sunday School teacher and leader for Bible Drill study and competitions. June enjoyed taking many trips with friends and church members and was so happy to be able to visit the Holy Land.

She was a faithful employee at Sears for over sixty years. When she retired, she was recognized by the company at a ceremony in Chicago for her dedication and diligent service. June enjoyed doing ceramics, traveling, and cooking for her family and friends. She loved preparing certain foods for many individuals knowing it was their favorite. She was a true blessing to all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her husband, J. T. Jones Jr.; parents, Oliver Thomas and Helen Moore; grandson, Brett A. Jones.

Survivors include her sons, David Jones (Virgina Rae) and James Dale "Bubba" Jones; grandchildren, Natalie Jones Thurman and Lance Fagan Jones (Adrianne); great grandchildren, Bryce Turner, Blayne Turner, Olivia Jones, Aubrey Jones, Carson Jones, Rase Jones and Lillian Jones; many nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Bryce Turner, Blayne Turner, Rase Jones, Carson Jones, Roger Parker, Mike McKenzie, Mitch Bryant, Ron Graves, and Randall Craft.
