Johnny Sylvester Minter, 69 of Ellisville, MS passed away Saturday, August 27, 2022 a West Jefferson Hospital in Marrero, LA. He was born Monday, July 6, 1953 in Laurel, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 1, 2022 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Ellisville Funeral Home in 1204 B. Ave, Ellisville, MS. Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 2, at 11:00 AM at Ellisville Funeral Home with burial to follow in Minter Cemetery. Rev Greg Hodge will officiate. He was preceded in death by his father, Johnny Warren Minter;  mother, Barbara Young Minter and brother, Charles Minter.

Survivors include his wife, Glenda Minter; sons, Cory Minter (Caley) and Shawn Minter (Debbie);  grandson, Codey Minter (Emily);  granddaughters, Kaley Hinton (Bryce), Taylor Minter, Kynleigh Minter and Emma Cotten;  great grandsons, Brodey Minter, Brayden Hinton and Rhett Hilbun;  great granddaughter, Kadey Minter.

Pallbearers will be Codey Minter, Jason Hall, Scott Shows, Cody Brewer, Chris Shows and Chris Hall.

Honorary pallbearer will be Ethan Hilbun.
