John E. Gordon Sr., 88, of Ellisville, MS, passed away peacefully at his residence on Tuesday, October 21, 2025. Born on May 22, 1937, in Lancaster, Ohio, John lived a full and cherished life. He served the country he loved as an Army Corporal in the Korean War. He was a hard worker. He traveled the country and settled in Ellisville years later with his family.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Jacquelyn Nell Todd Gordon, and his son, Jeffery A. Hoelzer. He was also predeceased by his parents, Clarence Henry Gordon and Delma Lewlya Wetzel Gordon, as well as his brothers, Ernie Gordon, Paul Wright, and Clarence Gordon Jr., and his sisters, Francis McCrady, Betty Wright, Juanita 'Neat' McGrady, Loretta Getz, and Rita Carrol.

John is survived by his children, John Gordon Jr., Sandra L. 'Sandy' Hudson along with her husband Charles and Robert T. Hoelzer,. He leaves behind his cherished grandchildren, Charlie R. Hudson and his wife Dawn, Christie P. Hudson, and Renee Hoelzer, as well as his great-grandchildren, Haleigh Hudson and Cooper Hudson.
