JL Sanford, 95, of Moselle, Mississippi, passed away Tuesday, Nov 23,2021 at his residence in Moselle, Mississippi. He was born Friday, October 29, 1926 in Seminary, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 28, 2021 from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM at Shelton Baptist Church. Funeral Services will follow at 3:00 PM and the burial will follow in Shelton Baptist Church Cemetery. Bro. Ken Tew and Bro. Charles Brady will officiate. Mr. Sanford was an ironworker and helped in the construction of the old USM coliseum. He also worked on the nuclear powerplant in Port Gibson. JL loved working around his homeplace. JL never met an animal who didn't love him, especially dogs. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. JL also enjoyed fishing. JL was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 72 years, Beatrice Sanford, his parents, Will and Nevada Sanford, as well as one son, Kim Sanford and six brothers and one sister.

Survivors include his daughters, Gloria Rawson and Pamela Kolger (Bill), his sons, Michael Sanford (Marilyn), Ron Sanford (Jenny), his grandsons, Ben Sanford (Jlena), Drew McCann (Farah Townsend), Taylor Kolger, Scott Rawson (Jennifer DuPont), Hunter Kohnke, Ryan Sanford, Daniel Sanford, Claire Sanford, Leigh Gault (Brian), Shelly Kolger (Patrick Fink), Macy Pittman (Chad), Melissa Goldman (Paul), Anna Rudolph (Stephen), Leslie McKinney (Marlin) as well as sixteen Great-Grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Taylor Kolger, Drew McCann, Sanford McKinney, Daniel Sanford, Ryan Sanford and Oliver Rudolph.
