Jimmy R. Hill Sr., 86, of Ellisville, MS, passed away peacefully on Monday September 21, 2026, at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg, MS. He was born on September 11, 1940, in Ellisville, MS.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Shirley Hill; parents, Sidney O. and Ethel Hill; brothers, Sidney O. Hill Jr., Medwell “Bid” Hill; sister, Hazel Jones and great grandson, Logan Cole Hill.

He is survived by his loving family, including his children, Jimmy Ray Hill Jr. (Linda), Kathy Eaves (Hiram), Karen Geddie, Michael Hill (Rita); grandchildren, Haley Brady (Jonathan), Byron Hill, Greg Hill (Charla), Brandon Hill (Madison), Nikki Burkle (Ethan), Josh Eaves, Ryan Geddie (Brandi), Jennifer Pierce, Shawn Hill (Amber), Chris Hill (Kirsten), and 21 great grandchildren; brothers, Donald Hill, Sam Hill (Melba), Mack Hill (Opal) and a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Greg Hill, Brandon Hill, Josh Eaves, Ryan Geddie, Shawn Hill, Chris Hill, Jonathan Brady and Byron Hill.

Visitation will be held on Thursday September 24, 2026, at Ellisville Funeral Home, located at 1204 B Ave, Ellisville, Mississippi, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Funeral services will follow Friday September 25, 2026, at 10:00AM at the same location, with burial at Logan Cole Hill Cemetery in Laurel, MS. Rev, Hiram Eaves and Rev. Wayne Williams will officiate. Arrangements are under the care of Ellisville Funeral Home.
