Janice F Boykin, 75 of Laurel, MS passed away Saturday, November 26, 2022 at her residence in Laurel, MS. She was born Thursday, July 24, 1947 in Laurel, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 1, 2022 from 5:00pm until 8:00pm at Ellisville Funeral Home in 1204 B. Ave, Ellisville, MS. Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 2, 2022 at 10:00 am at Ellisville Funeral Home in Ellisville, MS. Burial will follow in Mt Zion Cemetery on Graves Road. Janice was born and raised in Jones County.  She received her cosmetology degree at Hatfield's in Laurel and was a hairdresser for many years both at a local shop in Laurel and at a home office after she was married and had her three children.  She retired from Sunny Rainbow daycare where she worked and cared for children for more than 15 years.  Janice was very active in the community and at Bethlehem Baptist Church for many years, where she sang in the choir, worked in the nursery and led girls in G.A.'s.  Janice also delivered meals for many years as a volunteer with Meals on Wheels.  She loved people and never met a stranger!  Most of all she loved and cared for her family.  She looked forward to holidays and any reason to have the whole family together.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James A and Frances Ingram Flowers.

Survivors include her husband of 53 years Trulon N Boykin; sons, Marty Boykin (Cheri) and James Boykin (Nancy); daughter, Sonya Spratlin (Ray); brother, Terry Flowers (Carolyn); sisters, Candice Evans (Jobie) and Beverly Evans (Gale); grandsons, Alex Bryant, Tyler Bryant and Carson Bryant; granddaughters, Libby Boykin, Erin Boykin, Michelle Boykin, Dayne Clark, Amanda Boykin and Taylor Bryant; and 10 great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Marty Boykin, James Boykin, Ray Spratlin, Carson Bryant, Corey Evans, and Webb Evans.

Honorary pallbearers will be Terry Flowers.
