James Raymond Garick, 87, of Laurel, MS, passed away on Monday, December 22, 2025, at Merit Health Wesley in Hattiesburg, MS.  Born on March 4, 1938, in Mobile, Alabama.  He entered the United States Air Force for active-duty service in Jackson, MS on April 13, 1956.  James faithfully served his country for four years and was released from active duty at Donaldson Air Force Base on April 12, 1960.  His final duty assignment was at Donaldson AFB, where he held the rank of Airman Basic.  During his service, James's specialty title was Aircraft and Miscellaneous Electric Repairman, a role critical to maintaining aircraft systems and operational readiness.  James lived a full life surrounded by family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Garick, his father Burl Garick, his mother Maggie Sharp Garick, and his daughter-in-law Karen Garick. He is also preceded in death by two brothers, Donald Garick and Terry Garick.

He is survived by his sons, William David Garick and Michael Wayne Garick (Catherine) and his daughter, Melissa Ann Garick (Jason).  James also leaves behind a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and one brother, Denby Garick (Lou).
