Obituary

James "Jimmy" Ezell Chancellor, Jr., 75 of Ellisville, MS passed away Friday, September 27, 2024, at his residence in Ellisville, MS. He was born Tuesday, June 7, 1949, in Laurel, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Monday, September 30, 2024, from 5:00PM until 8:00PM at Ellisville Funeral Home in 1204 B Ave, Ellisville, Mississippi. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 01, 2024, at 2:00PM at Ellisville Funeral Home in Ellisville, Mississippi. Burial will follow in Ellisville City Cemetery in Ellisville, Mississippi. Bro. Brent Benson and Bro. Matt Olsen will officiate. Ellisville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. 601-477-3797.

Jimmy loved life to the fullest and was the life of every party. He loved his family, especially his grandchildren but most of all the love of his life and his high school sweetheart, Yolanda Mosley Chancellor. He was an avid Ole Miss fan.

He was preceded in death by his father, James Ezell Chancellor, Sr.; mother, Sybil Vann Chancellor; brother, Dennis Chancellor.

Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Yolanda Mosley Chancellor; daughters, Greta Ford (Byron) and April Sharp (Jerry); grandchildren, Brian Coleman, Dylan Coleman, Seth Sharp and Shelbi Sullivan (Benji); brother, Milton Chancellor (Gina); great grandchildren, Ella Klair Coleman, Ethan Coleman, Ellie Jewell Sullivan, Caven Sullivan and Wrenley Coleman; sister-in-law, Tanya Ray.

Pallbearers will be Doug Bethea, lifelong friend and his golf buddies, Steve McCraw, Bruce Lentz, Tom Odom, Dan Murchie, Ed Ray, and Chris Mack.
