James Vernon "Bull" Bullock, 77 of Ellisville passed away Friday December 1, 2023, at Forest General Hospital in Hattiesburg.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 5, 2023, from 9:00AM until 11:00AM at Ellisville Funeral Home at 1204 B Ave, Ellisville, Mississippi. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 5, 2023, at 11:00AM at Ellisville Funeral Home with burial to follow in Ellisville City Cemetery.

Vernon was born May 31, 1946, at Masonite Clinic in Laurel, MS.  He graduated from Ellisville High School in 1964. He joined the Mississippi National Guard in 1966 and served for seven years. He retired from South Central Bell Telephone where he was a repairman and toll room technician. He was a member of the Ellisville Masonic Lodge. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and riding motorcycles until a stroke limited his abilities.

He was preceded in death by his father, Foster Vernon Bullock, mother, Annie Ladell Bullock, brother, Don Bullock, and sister, Shirley Stewart.

He is survived by his wife of fourteen years, Elsa Bullock, sons, Jay Bullock (Lori), Brent Bullock (Patty), Brock Bullock and daughters, Towanda Suzanne Bullock Duncan (Jason), Reiza Ayla Banega, Sarah Moriah Beins. Ten grandchildren and four great grandchildren with one on the way. Special caretaker Butch Saavedra (Ricardo).

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
