Jacqueline Martin McLaurin
January 1, 1936 — May 2, 2026

Jacqueline “Jackie” Martin McLaurin, 90, passed away peacefully at her home on May 2, 2026. Born January 1, 1936, she was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. Her family was her pride and joy.

Known to many as Nana and to even more as Dr. Moss’ nurse, Jackie worked at Ellisville Hospital, later known as South Central Ellisville Clinic, for more than 40 years. During her tenure she cared for generations of families from welcoming newborn babies into the world to walking alongside patients through every season of life. She always offered reassurance and kindness to all. Jackie, a faithful servant of the Lord, taught children’s Sunday school and supported her husband as a deacon’s wife at Big Creek Baptist Church. She enjoyed shopping, fishing, and eating at the Mexican Kitchen.

Jackie was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Arzella James Martin, and by her beloved husband of 70 years, Elbin McLaurin.

She is survived by her children: Mike McLaurin (Nancy), Steve McLaurin (Kay), and Angie Smith (Robert). Jackie’s family was the center of her life and joy; she leaves cherished grandchildren Jennifer Ishee (Chris), Allison Penny (Scott), Lauren Nichols (Richard), and Kristen Jones (Anthony), as well as honorary grandchildren Lindsey Kilpatrick (Ethan), Brad Dykes, and Amanda Corley. She also delighted in her great-grandchildren Maddax Nicholson, Kara Ishee, Lily Penny, Sawyer Nicholson, Elise Ishee, Nora Kate Buda, Corbin Penny, Alex Nichols, Maggie Jane Buda, and Abram Jones. Also survived by her sister; Bonnie Edmondson, sisters-in-law; Imogene Collins and Glenda Duckworth, brother-in-law; Ken Rayborn (Carol) as well as numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.

Services will be held Saturday, May 9, 2026 at Big Creek Baptist Church beginning with visitation at 10:00am followed by service at 11:00am. Interment will be at Big Creek Cemetery. Bro. Paul Roney and Bro Adam Sloan will officiate.

Pallbearers will be Maddax Nicholson, Chris Ishee, Richard Nichols, Ethan Kilpatrick, Anthony Jones, and Lance Ishee. Honorary pallbearers will be Scott Penny, Sawyer Nicholson, Corbin Penny, Alex Nichols, and Abram Jones.

The family extends special thanks to caregivers Patti Tindall, Tonya Logan, Cassandra Warren, Brooke Moffett, and the Heart of Hospice team for their compassionate care and support.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Big Creek Baptist Church.

Jackie’s faith, love and compassion will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her.
