Jackie Ray Brownlee, 77, of Laurel, MS, passed away peacefully at his residence on Sunday, March 2, 2025. Born on June 20, 1947, in Laurel, Mississippi, Jackie was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Beverly Brownlee. Jackie was a proud father of his sons, Cory Brownlee (Crystal) and Justin Brownlee (Tonia), and his daughter, Tanya Byrd. He also leaves behind his step-sons, Anthony Cooley (Leslie) and Eric Cooley, and his step-daughter, Kimberly Foster. His legacy continues through his cherished grandchildren: Kayla Temple (Dustin), Allye Alexander (Tyler), Amber Robinson (Tyler), Luke Brownlee, Laura Brownlee, as well as his great-grandchild, Kenadee Temple.

Also survived by his Step-Grandchildren Austen Cooley, Conner Foster, Ashten Cooley, Mackenzie Foster, Erica Cooley, and Nick Smith, brothers, Austin Claude Brownlee and Wendell Ulmer (Laverne), and his sisters, Judy West, Winnie Dicks, Annie Flynn, and Faye Lott (Graham).

He is preceded in death by his parents, Austin L Brownlee and Gracie Arcola Martin Brownlee, and his siblings, Dallas Brownlee, W.C Brownlee, Gaddis Brownlee, Ralph Brownlee, Calvin Brownlee, Johnny Brownlee, Lucille Brownlee, Joyce Brownlee, and Linda Sue Brownlee.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Oakland Grove Baptist Church. Visitation will continue from 10:00AM until 11:00AM on Wednesday March 5,2025. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, at 11:00 AM at the same church in Laurel, Mississippi, with Bro. Brad Brownlee officiating. Jackie will be laid to rest in the Oakland Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Laurel, Mississippi. Arrangements are under the care of Ellisville Funeral Home.

Jackie will be fondly remembered by a host of step great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends. His pallbearers will include Chuck Brownlee, Ed Brownlee, Luke Brownlee, Eric Cooley, Alvin Byrd, and Larry Hodge, with Justin Walters and Billy Livingston serving as honorary pallbearers.
