Grace Holifield, 103, of Ellisville, MS, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 26, 2026, at the Jones County Rest Home in Ellisville, MS. Born on November 14, 1922, in Soso, Mississippi, Grace lived a long and fulfilling life.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Wadie M. Holifield, and her children, Samuel Kenneth Godwin, Charles Godwin, and Stella Godwin. She was also predeceased by her parents, Jim H. Jefcoat and Leola McLaurin Jefcoat, as well as her siblings Benny Jefcoat, Bardie Jefcoat, Billy Joe Jefcoat, Lucy Hill, Lavada Pitts, Gladys Haekler, Lilly Mae Ellzey, Marie Dykes, Francis Ishee, Myrtis Jefcoat, and Ruby Holland. Her grandchildren Tony Godwin, Stephanie Dickerson, also preceded her in death.

Grace is survived by her sons, James Carl Godwin, and Michael Godwin, along with her brother, Jimmy Burl Jefcoat, and sister, Dorothy Sumrall. She leaves behind a legacy through her grandchildren, Robin Dennis, Holly Rambin, Ricky Dennis, Sammy Godwin, Jr., Melanie Key, Tina Godwin, Lisa Godwin, Toby Godwin, Jason Godwin, and Christy Dement, as well as numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 1, 2026, from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Ellisville Funeral Home, located at 1204 B Ave, Ellisville, Mississippi. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM at the same location, with burial at Big Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Soso, Mississippi. Bro. Adam Sloan will officiate the services. Arrangements are under the care of Ellisville Funeral Home.
