Gloria Faith Johnson, 76, of Ellisville, MS was surrounded by her family and close friends when she gained her angel wings on December 27, 2022.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 29, 2022 from 12:30 PM until 2:00 PM at First Baptist Church of Laurel in 607 W. 5th St., Laurel, Mississippi. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM. The burial will take place in Ellisville City Cemetery in Ellisville, Mississippi. Bro. Ken Hembree and Bro. Shannon Slover will officiate. Ellisville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. 601-477-3797

Faith was preceded in death by her parents Jack and Frances Simpson and sister, Linda "Fran" Trest.

She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Curtis "Bill" Johnson of Ellisville, MS, daughters; Shannon Voge (Scott) of Laurel, MS and Crechele Hembree (Ken) of Pascagoula, MS. grandchildren; Haleigh Schwartz (Greg), Kale Voge (Malorie), Kameron Voge (Bailey Massey), Christian Hembree and Hannah Hembree, Great Grandchildren; Stella Kate Schwartz, Daxton Voge, Tatum Voge and Colbi Voge, two brothers; Jackie Simpson (Laura), Dr. John Simpson (Carole), as well as a host of nieces and nephews that loved their aunt Faith.

Faith was an amazing woman. She was not only a loving wife, dedicated mom but also the best Nana! She always went above and beyond for her grandchildren. To say she was EXTRA is an understatement. She loved to cook, spend time with family, and most of all serve others. She was the best cook in the south and she always had a houseful to feed. She loved to see people enjoy her cooking. She had a big heart and would give you the shirt off of her back.

Finally, Faith was a best friend to both of her daughters. They were like the three musketeers. If you seen one of them, you saw all three. This bond between mother and her two daughters was like no other. Faith will be greatly missed by all who knew her but especially missed by her family. She was truly an angel on earth.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to all who have loved and supported them during this time; especially Aunt B. and Uncle T. We love you all!

Pallbearers will be Kale Voge, Kameron Voge, Christian Hembree, Greg Schwartz, Thomas Cooley, Todd Troney, and Scott Voge.
