Glenda Faye Flanigan (Garrison) of Laurel, MS, passed away at her home on Thursday, July 30th at the age of 78. She was born on August 15th, 1947, in Jonesboro, AR to the late James Wiley and Mildred Fern Shelton Garrison. She married Michael Flanigan in 1970 and together they shared 56 wonderful years. She enjoyed cooking and was known for her love of animals. For many years, she has owned dogs, chickens, cows, birds, and a variety of other pets. She is survived by her husband Michael Flanigan, sister Vanessa (Marty) Rodney of Arkansas and daughter Shelly (Fransisco) Simoes of Colorado and granddaughter Miranda Josee (Hayden) Melvin of Texas. Along with her neighbors, Laura, Ricardo, Linda, Isabella Echenique and many friends.

Mrs. Flanigan is preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, James Eugene Garrison, Jimmie Lee Garrison and Bobby Wayne Garrison; a sister Carol Sue Long; and a son Michael Ray Flanigan II.

Visitation will be held Wednesday August 5, 2026, at Ellisville Funeral Home from 9:00AM to 10:00AM with funeral to follow. Burial will be held at Antioch United Methodist Church Cemetery.
