Gladys Joann Thompson, 83, of Ellisville, Mississippi, died Thursday April 30, 2020, at Landmark Nursing Home in Collins, Mississippi.
She was born Monday, December 21, 1936, in Collins, Mississippi to Marvin and Gladys Welch.
Graveside service will be held Sunday, May 3, 2020, at 2:00 PM at Welch Graham Cemetery in Ellisville, Mississippi with burial to follow in Welch Graham Cemetery. Bro. Clay Williamson and Bro. Brent Long will officiate. Ellisville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. (601) 477-3797.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Gaston Ray Thompson; parents, Marvin and Gladys Welch; sister, Frances Ford.
Survivors include her daughters, Rachel Morris, and Robin Duckworth (Richard); Sons, Shawn Thompson, and Joe Thompson (Judy); sister, Judy Hall; grandchildren, Jason Padgett (Kecia), Christina Dennis, Adam Webster (Alison), Leslie Dennis; 9-great-grand children and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Phillip Hall, Jason Padgett, Adam Webster, Mason Cooley, Dawson Padgett, and Conner Padgett.
Honorary pallbearers will be Richard Duckworth, Joe Thompson, and Shawn Thompson.
