George W. Carr age 89, of Laurel, MS died Thursday, March 26, 2026, at his residence in Laurel, MS. He was born Wednesday, December 30, 1936, in Pinola, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held, Tuesday, March 31, 2026, from 10:00AM until 11:30AM at Ellisville Funeral Home in Ellisville.

Funeral services will be held, Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at 11:30AM at Ellisville Funeral Home in Ellisville, MS. Burial will follow in Big Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Laurel, MS. Bro. Hiram Eaves will officiate. Ellisville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Allene S. Carr his parents L.D Carr and Maggie Aycock, son, Lance David Carr, brother-in-laws Billy Earl Clark Sr, Larry Schultz.

Survivors include his son. George Wayne Carr (Rosie), sisters Carolyn Clark, Sonja Todd, Jean Bateman (Michael), Joyce Schultz, Lynn Davis (Ronnie), grandson Scott Poole (Rosa), great grandchildren, Nathan Poole and Keila Poole, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Ron Reid, Don Reid, Shawn Macanalley, Billy Earl Clark Jr., Jason Norris, Kevin Thrash.
