Gary Ronald Tucker, 70 of Laurel, MS passed away Monday, January 23, 2023 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born Thursday, June 19, 1952 in Laurel, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2023 from 11:30 AM until 2:00 PM at Mt Vernon Methodist Church with the service to begin at 2:00 PM. Burial will follow in Mt. Vernon Methodist Cemetery Church. Bro. Davy Fenton will officiate.

Gary worked at Headrick Sign Company 34 years and he was a perfectionist when it came to his work. He was an avid fisherman and hunter and in his free time he would garden. He loved to build birdhouses and tend to Catawba worm trees. You could always find him working outside. He was a kind man who was full of love and life. His passing leaves a large hole in the hearts of those who loved him, but we have peace in knowing he will spend eternity with our Savior.

He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Tucker, Jr.; mother, Celma Odell Martin; step father, Bill Martin.

Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Marlene Bryant Tucker; son, Thomas Tucker (Janie); daughters, Jessica Tucker and Stephanie Spradley (Vince); brother, David Tucker; grandson, Cody Spradley; granddaughters, Brittany Spradley (Brendon), Taylynn Spradley, Molly Tucker and Marley Tucker, and his beloved pet Zoey.

Pallbearers will be John Purvis, David Rayner, Joe Staples, Chuck Williams, Billy Tillman, and Devon Polansky.

Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Robinson and Blake Riggins.
