Fred was born on September 23rd, 1942, in Laurel, Mississippi, to Ray and Polly Bloodsworth.
Fred's life was marked by his unwavering commitment to those he loved.
As a devoted spouse to Betty Jean Bloodsworth for fifty years and a cherished father to Missy (Bub) Robinson, Pamela (Clint) Smith,
Randy (UnHui) Bloodsworth, Fred (Clara) Barlow, Chester (Mary) Barlow, and Suzie Davis; his love knew no bounds. His legacy lives on through his grandchildren Kade, Dalton, Nikki, Timmy, Becca, Nick, Cameron, Brittany, Alec, Kayly (Cole), Amber, Jordan, Emily, Julia, Jazzmen, Jennifer, Jayme, Kayden (Hawk), Brooke, and a host of great-grandchildren. Fred joins his parents, Polly & Ray, his wife, Betty Bloodsworth, and daughter, Suzie Davis, in Heaven.
Born and raised alongside his two sisters, Patricia and Sandra, Fred began working from a young
age, honing the skills that would carry him throughout his life. His dedication and work led him to meet
the love of his life, Betty. Fred and Betty spent over five decades together. Later in life, Fred enjoyed
spending his time outdoors, sharing his gifts and talents with the church, and, most importantly, spending
time with his family, especially his grandchildren Kayden, Brooke, Kayly, and Rylie. He was passionate
about sharing the love of our Lord with others and was an integral part of his church. A loyal servant to
God, Fred spent many hours dedicating his life to the Lord. Fred was a wonderful husband, father, and
Christian.
Mr. Fred was deeply involved in his community as a Gideon, Deacon, and Sunday School Teacher at First Baptist Myrick and then later at Pineview Baptist Church. During his younger years, he worked in the oil field before owning and operating Bloodsworth Construction alongside his wife, Betty.
His strong work ethic inspired all who knew him, and he will be remembered as a dedicated Christian and an adoring grandfather, father, and friend whose love knew no bounds.
Fred, an avid outdoorsman with a passion for fishing and hunting, found solace in God's creation.
He enjoyed being outside, especially when he caught bigger fish than his son–in–law, Bub Robinson.
The loss of Mr. Fred leaves an irreplaceable void, but it is filled with countless memories that will
continue to comfort those fortunate enough to know him. His impact on so many lives is immeasurable,
and while we mourn his passing, it is essential to remember the joy he brought into this world and that he
is rejoicing with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Now that Fred has passed into the arms of our Lord,
we should remind ourselves that while this is the end of Fred's physical life on Earth, it's the beginning of
an eternal and beautiful journey for him. He was a loving and wonderful man until the end and will be
greatly missed.
