Freddie Ray Strickland, 95 of Ellisville, MS passed away Wednesday, September 4, 2024, at his residence in Ellisville, MS. He was born Sunday, September 23, 1928, in Jones County, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 6, 2024, from 1:00PM until 2:00PM at Ellisville Funeral Home in 1204 B Ave, Ellisville, Mississippi. Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 6, 2024, at 2:00PM at Ellisville Funeral Home in Ellisville, Mississippi. Burial will follow in Mt. Olive Methodist Church in Ovett, Mississippi. Bro. Kenny Morris, Bro. Leander Bridges, and Bro. Paul Holliman will officiate. Ellisville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. 601-477-3797.

Freddie was in the Naval Reserve for 4 years, 3 years active duty in the US Coast Guard and 13 years in standby US Coast Guard. He was employed by the Masonite Corporation Woodlands Division. He was a member of American Society of American Foresters, member of MS Forestry Association (6 years Board of Directors), member of the American Forest Council for the State of MS.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances w. Ware Strickland; father, W. E. Strickland; mother, Ethel Pearson Strickland; brother, Billy Strickland.

Survivors include his brother, Charles Strickland; nephews, Randy Strickland (Donna), and Kim Strickland (Alicia); great nephew, Eli Strickland (Jessica), and great niece, Samantha Myrick (Nathan).

Pallbearers will be Randy Strickland, Kim Strickland, Eli Strickland, Leroy Colglazer, Gary Patterson, Carson Graham, Keith brewer and Eddie Anderson.
